Brandywine Online is offering a variety of online courses and workshops to educators across the state. Offerings will include: PDE approved CPE courses for 1-3 credits; Act 48 eligible workshops for 3-6 hours or one-time events offered using Elluminate or Videconferencing. Courses represent a wide array of topics including: Bullying Prevention; Foundations for Teaching in an Online Environment; Effective Teaching in an Online Environment and Building in Virtual Worlds. Guest speaker events will also be offered as videoconferences or live-stream programs. All online programs will use the Moodle platform version 1.9 through June, 2012 after which they will be available in Moodle 2.x. Synchronous events will use Videoconferencing or Elluminate. Workshops will also be available for purchase by districts or Intermediate Units. This will allow educational entities to use their own teachers or facilitators and customize the program to fit their needs.
